Reciently, I have been using my C-64 as a terminal to connect with a VMS IBM system (At least, I think thats what it is) and edit my modula-2 programs with an editor called 'edt.' Reciently I have had an annoying problem in that the lower case character turn to gibberish when I use the editor. They will work fine in the main environment or shell, but mess up in the editor, even when they are still working fine at the main prompt. So far the only thing that helps is going to the kermit prompt and reseting the screen to 80-columns again( Which is what I am using it in) which works fine until I move around a bit. Then some of the lines being updated at the bottom have messed up lowercase again. I believe that it is some special character the editor is sending out, but am puzzled as to why it remains that way even when I exit and reenter. Can anyone tell me whats going on? rwillis@hubcap.clemson.edu "OF course I know what I'm doing!!" -Famous last words.
