Hey, I don't know if I asked this before but..... Is there a fastloader in the public domain for the 128? I'm pretty sick of waiting for 2 minutes to load a 128 terminal....is it available on any FTP sites? Also- Is there an assembler for the 64 that generates OBJECT code (IE that you can link with other object code files) similar to C or Pascal? Lastly- Something strange happened to a couple of my drives a week or so ago. I swapped the PCB's to test a device # switch and neither drive worked right. One worked OK except the red light wouldn't come on, the other couldnt read the disk (it moved the read head back and forth for about a minute before giving up). When I switched them back they worked fine. One board was from 1982, the other 1984. Now I would have thought that to the mechanical stuff the boards would look the same from the outside, but this seems not to be the case. Anyone out there have any insight why?? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bitnet: |To live between a rock and a hard place cygnus@wpi.bitnet |In between time Internet: |Cruising in primetime cygnus@wpi.wpi.edu |Soaking up the cathode rays -Rush -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
