[comp.sys.cbm] 1581 Head Problems

Hi,
 
I was using a 1581 disk drive and I took the disk out while the green light
was on and my directory was trashed.  I opened up the drive and noticed that
the top head piece could be swiviled.  I had a feeling that the top head
was the problem.  Some how it erased my track one when I took the disk out.
 
Also, are they any reliable and fast disk copiers out for the 1581? (not file
copiers)
