I would be grateful for any information that could help me obtain copies of the KIM-1 manuals. For the benefit of anyone under age 35 who may be reading this, the KIM-1 was a single-board microcomputer, using a 6502, sold by MOS Technology in about 1975. It came in a box with two 8-1/2 x 11 manuals. I found the unit that I had bought at that time when moving offices a few days ago. But the manuals are nowhere to be seen. I've called Commodore, who bought MOS Technology about 13 years ago, but they were of no help. So, I'm turning to the net, in the hope that someone out there may be of assistance. Of course, I'll pay any reasonable duplication and mailing costs. -- Mike Faiman, Urbana, IL faiman@cs.uiuc.edu

I resent that... :-) I've got three manuals sitting here: "KIM-1 USER MANUAL", "HARDWARE MANUAL", and "PROGRAMMING MANUAL". I'd be happy to loan you these in return for assurances that I'll get them back within a month or so; I've had bad experiences loaning things over the Net. My KIM-1 is nowhere near operational, but it's still a neat relic to have (and fits in very nicely in my museum :-) ...
