[comp.sys.cbm] Punter file transfer docs

hackeron@athena.mit.edu (Harris L Gilliam) (07/17/90)

Hi,

I'm looking for docs on how the punter file transfer protocol
(ala Steve Punter) works. I have assembly code for it and I wan't to
write a version of it in C. The assembly I have is not very well
commented and an english explanation of the handshaking etc would make
porting this much easier. If someone has C code for I'd appreciate
that just as much (well probably more :-).

Call Steve's board and see if you can locate a copy of the already-ported
protocol. I'm 99 11/100%ths sure one exists for IBM. From memory, the
number is 416-896-1446 (evenings). This is Canadian, by the way, so it's a
tad more expensive than the States. I haven't called for a few years, but
Sprint seemed to have good connections and reasonable rates.
