[comp.sys.cbm] 16 voice board

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying a 16 voice sound
board being designed for the c64/128..? I'm posting this message to see
if this idea would be marketable or not... please send responses via
email... the board would be very cheap and would be compatible with
all software... things like surround sound and dolby stereo would be
possible.. something like $60-$80...

hope to hear replies soon!

I'd pick it up in a second..... IF I could use it and a MIDI interface
at the same time. (16 SID voices and MIDI would make a real nice
extra synth for my setup!) If no MIDI, I'd have to think about it for
a while but I'd probably still go for it as long as existing Stereo
SIDplayers would make use of it.....

It all depends on your MIDI interface. If it plugs into the cartridge
port, then obviously it won't work. I imagine we could make the cartridge
have a thru connector for more cartridges but I wonder if it would be worth
it.. as far as working with the SID Stereo player, it *will* work, and will
also be able to take advantage of the extra voices if programmers use it..
Can you imagine games with dolby stereo or surround sound? I can! Anyways,
I'll keep you all posted, we have the cartridge nearly done, the biggie
will be the software. If you have any suggestions for the software, let
me know.. we plan on basing the software on a certain popular, powerful
music program.... ;^)
