Hi, I have an old Cardco ?+G interface and just switched from an 80DPI printer (Blue Chip) to a 60DPI printer (Panasonic). Does anybody have info on which DIP switch selects 60DPI/80DPI graphics? My interface has hard soldered jumpers and it is very inconvenient to experiment that way. The one switch closest to the ROM chip seems to select one of two different programs in the ROM (Epson vs. Okidata?), but I need to know about the others, all of which run into ports on the processor chip. In simpler terms, what is the dipswitch configuration for an Epson FX-80, for example? No, I don't have a manual. I do also have an old Data Share PPI interface, which only does 60DPI, and would use that but for one annoying characteristic - on a C128, it inhibits 1571 autoboot if it is powered up when the reset button is pressed. Data Share never could explain this, but all the PPIs do it. If anyone knows how to make it stop this antisocial behavior, I'd like to know that too! Thanks in advance, Frank Prindle Prindle@NADC.navy.mil
