[comp.sys.cbm] SID Add-On

	Hi Fellow C64 Advocats!

I found a schematic plan for a home built midi
interface for the c64/c128 on an ftp site. I
am wondering if anyone knows where I could find
plans for a homebuilt SID add-on similar to the
		plug-in cartridge Dr. Evil manufactures.

Also, if anyone has had personnal experience
the aforementioned cartridge could you drop a
line telling me about your degree of satisfaction?

Happy T-day. If you know anything, please write
		back

Although not an add-on cartridge, there is instruction on how to
add a second SID-chip onto the motherboard from the author of
"stereoplayer" that accomplishes the same thing as that of
Dr. Evil cartridge. This instruction can be found inside the
"stereoplayer.sda" fil. And this file can be found in Milton FTP-site
in the directory: "public/download/c64/sids" (I think).
However, as the author points out, this task of adding a second
SID chip isn't that simple, and it would be not surprising to me
that the cost of doing this would come close to just buying the
cartridge, this is not including your time and the gurranty of
success (the effective cost of building one is always higher that
building several -- for one you buy components in quantities).

Sincerely,
