Either a bug has popped up in my Vt100 emulator, or my disk has become corrupted. (I don't see how either is possible, but...) Here's what happens: the emulator thinks it comes up in unbuffered mode (i.e. all characters typed go straight through), but it doesn't. To get the host to receive any input, I have to hit <Return>. So my files on the host wind up full of broken lines, and I can't even use the cursor keys. Now it gets interesting. If I tell it to go into buffered mode, all output goes to the status line at the top of the screen. I'll TYPE or CAT a file on the host (which is one of (1) a VMS VAX or (2) a Un*x machine) and it will display one line at a time on the status line (each for a fraction of a second) and, when it's done, the status line will go yellow again. Has anybody seen this? Is there an easy fix? I don't know that I really want to spend the money for the software again, since 8-bit Commodores seem to be going the way of the dodo :-( and I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to find ANY software for the machine... Thanks in advance, Dave L dlindsle@blackbird.afit.af.mil #24601
