Looking through the Software Support Int'l catalog I came across the I-Paint program. I heard of this program before, and from the ad (on the back page of the catalog) it seems like an interesting package. It claims 640x400 graphics with thousands of apparent colours. What do they mean by 'apparent' colours? Are these colours displayed in 8x8k blocks as with C64 hi-res? Or does each pixel have a separate colour or is there some other format used? The program also runs in interlace mode, from what I have seen of interlace for the 128 I find the flicker irritating. Does I-Paint have the same amount of flicker as other (interlaced) screens? Is there a 'flicker fixer' for the 128? (beside wearing dark glasses and/or reducing contrast) What features does it include, is it JUST a drawing package (like Doodle) or does it come with conversion programs for other formats? (I would especially like a GIF viewer/convertor) Finally, what special drawing commands come with the package? (ie circles, elipses, lines, magnification, copy...) I am seriously considering the purchase and would like input from those of you who have purchased, used, seen, or have more details about it. Thanks, Roger -- Boot it up? I did A LOT of that!| Roger White (Sam-Cheers) | Memorial University of Newfoundland --------------------------------| St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada ..uunet!stretch.cs.mun.ca!roger, roger@stretch.mun.edu, roger@stretch.cs.mun.ca
