A friend of mine is trying to run AABBS128 on a flat 128 with 2 1541s. It ran for a long while with a <GASP!> Volksmodem 6480. Then 1 day it started crapping out. I lent him my 1670 (with 4 dipswitches) but could NEVER get it to work properly with it. I now have lent him my Hayes 1200 with a ComModem interface from Aprotek. It now answers the phone but will not send anything out. In Terminal mode of the BBS, he can call but at about the 10 second mark after seeing Carrier, the Terminal mode hangs it up... <quizzical look>. Now, in order to discount hardware, he runs Novaterm 9.1 with no problem for HOURS on end. But the BBS can only hold a call for 10 seconds. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone ever get this to work with a 4-dipswitch 1670? Thanks...
