Hey you GEOS programmers who own 128's, two things. First, in case someone doesn't know, there do exist some patches (on Q-Link) for the geoProgrammer programs that allow you to run them on the C128. There is one patch that will setup all three files for use on the C128 (geoAssembler and geoLinker will work quite nicely in 80 columns), and an alternate geoDebugger patch that (through some gyrations) allows one to debug an 80 column application. (Although I have had trouble with the patched debugger when calling the 128 BASIC ROM from GEOS.) Does anyone know if these patches are at milton? If not, I will submit them, if someone could tell me how one goes about submitting a file to milton. Second: if you do geoProgram on the 128, you have doubtless seen that when you run the superDebugger on the 128, it thrashes the RAM Rboot code- meaning that if you crash your system, you have to reboot from disk, and recopy all of your RAMdisk files to RAM, which is a pain. I have recently developed a method of RAM Rbooting after using the superDebugger on the 128. I will also submit this to milton, again if someone will tell me how to do that. -Rob Knop rknop@gap.cco.caltech.edu
