I have an Enhancer 2000 disk drive that was sold several years ago as a 1541 compatible. It works OK on games and most software sold before 1986. I cannot get it to boot and run GEOS 2.0 and some other new software. I have an FSD Excelerator plus that does just fine - 100% 1541 compatibility. It has a Commodore ROM (V2.X, I forgot the version) installed. The Enhancer 2000 has an Enhancer ROM. Any ideas as to fix the GEOS problem? Can I swap the ROM in the Enhancer with a "real" 1541 ROM. Any other hardware fixes that anyone has tried? Any help to get this drive to work with my GEOS 2.0 would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Kirk A. JAnowiak XWUU@PURCCVM
