A C64 Turbo Master CPU (4.09 MHz Accelerator)
This thing is really cool. All of your software can now run
at 4X normal speed! Some games aren't affected by the cartridge (They
use the jiffy clock for timing everything they do, and the jiffy clock
speed remains the same, so as not to break alot of programs that rely
on the precise timing). Some games however, really benefit from the
acceleration. Flight Simulators, for example, really smoke!
Terminal Programs! You can now use 2400 with no funny problems. (Note,
terminals that do funny things to the timing to get 2400 to work won't
work in an accelerated atmosphere. They expect the timing to be 1mhz)
(You can also run up to 4800 baud reliably. I've managed 9600,
but I wrote my own program.)
GEOS users! This runs with GEOS! Imagine 4X speed! What a machine
you would own!
Ok, so how much does this dream device cost? Only $99.95!
