[comp.sys.cbm] Fast RS-232 routines for the 64

digdon@ug.cs.dal.ca (Mike Digdon) (02/06/91)

Does anyone have, or know where I can get, the source code for the
routines that speed up the normal RS-232 kernal routines in the 64? I an
working on a term program, and would like to get as close to 2400 baud
as possible (no point in having 2400 if you can't ever use it, right?)
Thanx in advance for the assistance..

Look for a Transactor magazine dated February 1989, in an article called
'RS232 revisited'. There you will find source code for replacement RS232
routines that work extremely well at 2400 baud. The author of the routines
is George Hug.
