I own a 1764 REU and I've heard that you can upgrade it to as much as 2Mb of RAM. My questions are: - Is this really true ? - Can GEOS take advantage of this amount of memory ( I have GEOS V1.3 ) ? How ? - How can I get this memory expansion ( I live in Sweden ) ? - What about compatibility whith the "unexpanded" 1764 ? Thanks in advance. | Per Andersson | c/o Boman | Voice natl. 0920 - 164 47 | | University of Luleaa | Kungsgatan 16 | intl. +46 920 164 47 | | SWEDEN | S-951 32 Luleaa | Internet: d90-pan@sm.luth.se |

Yes it can be done but you need geos 2.00 and a file on Quantum link called configure 2.1. Also you need a circuit of 3 chips then some 41256k ram chips. But you should only go to about 1meg since I here that the rec can't handle the extra load I have done one to 512 the to 1 meg and it works great if you would like anymore info I can be reached at Len Carpenter 71 Aquador Dr. Welland, Ontario Canada, L3C-5S5 (416)788-1361 -- Len Carpenter - via FidoNet node 1:221/171 UUCP : watmath!xenitec!zswamp!178.0!Len.Carpenter Internet: Len.Carpenter@p0.f178.n221.z1.fidonet.org
