Greetings Again its just me. Once again I have come to seek the Knowleege and Wisdom of the readers of this newsgroup. [End. Proc. Flattery] I Have been writing a BBS program Off and On for about 4 years now for the 128. I have come to a slight delemma. I need Xmodem, And (God permitting) Ymodem/Xmodem 1k. However I have no litterature on the protocols. Granted I am a rather good programmer, Basic, COBOL, 8502 Assmbl, TURBO PASCAL are in my credits BUT! I am not good enough to write YMODEM or a resonable XMODEM for the 128 in ML. If my BBS system is to ever have File/Xfers I must have at least Xmodem. (I have a PD ML Xmodem routine, but it too slow....)(WXmodem would be better)(Much Better) Now, does anyone know of a place to find these routines? The qualifications are thus : 1. Compleately ML. 2. Multiple Disk Drive Support / 8,9,10,11 3. FAST 4. Executable from a SYS xxxxx,a,x,y command. 5. Prefeable NOT in memory locations $1300-$1bff (Thats where all MY stuff is) If you all know of where these routines can be found, or if you have them please UUencode them and send them to me. I will be eteranly gratefull. QLINKERS <=== If you think Qlink May have something like this please conntact me, I will gladdly pay for the Charge of Downloading it, (But I want to make sure that I can use it before you Download it So Email me.) Many-Many-Many Thanx - Paid in full In Advance. CShamis@Desire.Wright.Edu <== Internet. CShamis@WSU.Bitnet <== Bitnet.

There is complete documentation available for Xmodem, Xmodem-1K, Ymodem batch, WXmodem, Zmodem, Punter, Kermit, etc. in textfile form. I have literature for all of these printed out and I have the files on disk somewhere. If you know machine language it isn't hard to write up the simpler protocols (such as Xmodem and Xmodem-1K). Testing them is the hard part. Writing your own is probably the best approach if you want it to work the way you specified. When I wrote the protocols for Novaterm I used this approach so that I could standardize them all in the same format. The protocol doc files may be available on an FTP site, I don't know. If they aren't, and if there is interest, I can upload what I have. (except for Kermit, which is on the order of 900 Commodore blocks - I had to use an SFD to download it and print it, and I don't have it on disk anymore!) ----------------------------------------------- Nick Rossi, '93 | "DRINK IT!!!!!" Would prefer ML that will work on 64 or 128 with source. menace@uudell!fquest.fidonet.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The following opinions are my own and not those of anyone else who might be registered on fquest.fidonet.org.
