[net.wanted] Disk Drive Wanted

<< Another line bites the dust >>

The repairman just informed me that a complete repair of the burned-out motor
on my ATARI 810 drive would cost $300.

Now that I am in the market for a new drive, I would appreciate any information
on ATARI 800 compatible drives. Specifically, I am researching the INDUS GT,
RANA 1000, and ATARI 1050.

Stories of personal experience with any of the above will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you!

Elias

The INDUS drive is very nice and I have had no trouble for the
six months of moderate use. The first thing to go however is
the dust cover door. The damn thing is just in the way!
about the 10th time you try to guide a disk through that
obstical you scream...ARRRGGGGHHH...and then tear the mother
off!
