Hi, I'm looking for a few software reviews/comparisons. First, I'd like some tools for my 1581. Mainly I'm interested in copying things QUICKLY from my 1581 back and forth to a 1541. Also, track/sector editing, and partition features would be nice. I'm interested in 1581 Toolkit, by Software Support International, and Super 81 Utilities, by ???. I have the description of 1581 Toolkit, but not Super 81 Utilities. Could someone tell me how they compare? Super 81 is also a lot cheaper -- only $12 from Briwall! Next, I'd like a CAD program just to do simple things -- I'm not looking for an CADIA or AutoCAD clone, here. :-) I don't really need 3D, either -- I just want to lay out front panels for lab equipment. Lines, arcs, fillings, and boxes are nice. Also, point definition should allow near points, absolute points, relative points, etc. Zoom is useful, as well as a standard type of output, such as HPGL. I realize this might be too much to ask of a Commodore 64, but if anyone has either CAD-3D by IHT, or Cadpak-64 by Abacus, I'd like to know your opinion of it and what its feature are. Thanks for taking the time to respond. You can e-mail me at kolstad@jomby. cs.wisc.edu, or post news if you think this issue warrants. ---Joel Kolstad
