Anyone know where I can get (preferably by ftp) a gif-to-geos converter?

ftp to mars.ee.msstate.edu, cd to /files/C64, and get (in binary mode):

	geoGIFv1-2.sfx

This is a self-dissolving archive, so run it on your C64 or C128 to
dissolve it into its files, then GeoConvert to run under GEOS. It will
change GIF files to GeoPaint files, but no color info is saved. Instead
it uses dithered halftone patterns, like a Macintosh might. It looks
rather good.
