What address does the Stereoplayer10.3 use for the 2nd sid IC (the one on the milton ftp site). I have a second sid chip installed and it seems to ignore it at DE00H. The stereo editor from COMPUTE plays with no problem on all six voices and allows a selection between DE00H and DF00H. I'm suspicious that the 10.3 player uses DF00H. The 2nd sid chip modification says to connect for DE00H. Is there an incompatibility here or am I missing something?? warren@col.hp.com

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I *believe* that you can tell the stereoplayer where the second SID is located... when it boots, look for a configure option on the first menu, and play around with it. If this doesn't help, let me know, and I will find out the specifics for you. Mark Dickenson is a good friend and cohort of mine. (The author) Don

THANKS! If only I would read the DOCS. It was right there on the second screen! Oops. I guess the player is so easy to use that I didn't think I needed documentation. Thanks to those who helped. BTW. In the documentation I noticed that the circuit matches the one on my C64 schematic. The schematic on the C128 is a little different, so if you are modifying a C128, you might want to match the circuit currently in the computer so the the 2 sids give balanced outputs ( I think it had a couple of extra capacitors). Also, instead of mounting a 2nd RCA plug on the back of your machine you can tie the output to pin 7 of the video DIN jack. This requires you to make a new video cable, but I just thought you might want to know of this alternative. warren@col.hp.com
