-- If Steve Ciarcia is out there...... Does anyone out in net-land know where I can get my grimy gloms on a NSC455 TMP chip? I checked with the National Semiconductor distributors in my area and was informed that it would not be available until late 3rd quarter 1984. For the uninitiated, the TMP stands for Terminal Management Processor. Basically it is a video terminal on a chip. Just add memory, monitor, keyboard and power and you've got a fairly powerful smart terminal. The distributors I checked with were: Cramer, Pioneer and Engineering Devices. I got the same story from all three. They were more than happy to send me spec sheets, but no chips. I'm trying to build Steve Ciarcia's TermMite ST (Byte Feb. 84) and have everything I need but the TMP chip. By the way, Micro Mint WILL NOT SELL THE CHIP SEPARATELY. They do, however, sell the entire kit (I don't need/want the entire kit). If anyone could provide me with price/availability info, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Pete -- --Bill Buie
