I know someone with a Microvax with 5-1/4 inch floppy drives (also 9-track tape and fixed disk, but that's not important). She wants to transfer some files to an IBM PC. We could use Kermit and transfer via a serial port, but we were wondering if it is possible to interchange floppy disks in some way. I know that you can convince a Rainbow to read single-sided IBM PC disks, and even write to them if you format them on the IBM. Is there any way to produce on a Microvax a disk that the Rainbow or IBM PC can read? Or is there a program on the Rainbow or IBM that will let them read a standard VAX diskette? Thanks in advance for any help. Mike Ciaraldi seismo!rochester!ciaraldi
