This update really only covers generalities and the VAX/VMS stream, since that's what I'm co-ordinating. Bill Hancock, independent network consultant, has confirmed that he will be our Keynote Speaker on Tuesday morning. He will also be giving a full- day seminar Friday on Network Design for PC's and Workstations. In addition to being a very well-known, informative, and entertaining speaker, Bill Hancock is the Networking Editor for DEC Professional magazine. Friday a workshop is being offered at the Ontario Centre for Remote Sensing. This promises to be a very interesting trip, not very far from the Convention Centre. It is limited to 12 people. 7 have already registered. A few sessions have been added to the VAX/VMS Stream which didn't make it into December's Program Update. These are: Wed. 4-5 New VMS V5 Features in Terminals (Interm/General) Thu. 9-10 Maximum Security Under VMS (Technical/fairly advanced) Thu. 10:30-11:30 SES - Digital's Security Enhancement Service Thu. 2:30-3:30 New VMS V5 features in DCL (Interm./General) So far well over 600 people have pre-registered. This is even more than last year's highly successful symposium in Montreal. Please come - we'd love to see you here!
