maybe DEC should?  i mean, if DEC is truly interested in customer
support, as i know they are (being a former employee of DEC), maybe
they should have someone responsible for answering questions and
relating the problems that are brought up in comp.sys.dec and
comp.unix.ultrix (etc.) to the appropriate people.
