DCS (DECUS Communication System) and DECUServe are now on the INTERNET.

This gives users who have access to INTERNET some new services.

Internet mail services may be used to and from accounts on both systems.
TELNET and FTP inbound have been enabled on both system.
TELNET and FTP outbound are not available on either system except
	between DCS and DECUServe


                             INTERNET ADDRESSES

DECUServe:
	EISNER.DECUS.ORG (primary)
	DECUSERVE.DECUS.ORG (alternate)
	DECUSV.DECUS.ORG (alternate)

DCS:
	DECUS.ORG (primary)
	TOPAZ.DECUS.ORG


                          USING THE MAIL SERVICES:

Your Internet Mailing Address to receive mail on DECUServe is:
	Username@EISNER.DECUS.ORG


To send mail to an Internet site from VMSmail use
	To:	 IN%"username@domain.address"

To send mail to a DCS user from VMSmail use
	To:	DCSA1::username

To cause mail sent to your VMSmail account here to be autoforwarded to
an Internet address, in VMSmail enter:
	SET FORWARD "IN%""username@domain.address"""
	** Do the quotes exactly as shown **

To cause mail sent to your VMSmail account here to be autoforwarded to
a DCS account (if you have one), in VMSmail enter:
	SET FORWARD  DCSA1::Username



                USING TELNET FROM YOUR HOME SYSTEM TO DECUSERVE

You may use Telnet from your machine to interactively log in to DECUServe.  

If you have Telnet available on your system, you should be able to connect to
DECUServe by typing:

	TELNET  eisner.decus.org

You cannot Telnet from DECUServe to any machine except DCS.  To Telnet to DCS,
you can use the address topaz.decus.org, or simply topaz, or: 

	TELNET  DCS




                USING FTP FROM YOUR HOME SYSTEM TO DECUSERVE

You may FTP from your machine to PUT or SEND (upload) or to GET or RECEIVE
(download) files from DECUServe.  

If you have FTP available on your system, you should be able to connect to
DECUServe by typing:

	FTP  eisner.decus.org

The following instructions describe FTP on DECUServe - the commands on your
system may be slightly different.

At the FTP prompt, you should type LOGIN.  After supplying your username
and password, you may use the FTP commands.  Type ? for a list of commands,
and HELP COMMAND-NAME for help on a particular command.

Type EXIT or QUIT to leave FTP (logging out of the remote system).



                    FILE TRANSFERS TO/FROM THE DCS SYSTEM

You cannot FTP from DECUServe to any machine except DCS.  To FTP to DCS, you
can use the address topaz.decus.org, or simply topaz, or:

	FTP  DCS
    
Alternatively, you can use the VMS Copy command in network form:

	COPY  DCS"dcs-username password"::filethere.name  filehere.name 
and
	COPY    filehere.name DCS"dcs-username password"::filethere.name

    Please note that some of the services on DCS have not yet been enabled. 
    They will be made available within the next few days. 
    
    The brief delay is so that we can get the ALL-IN-1 (related) pieces
    "just right", and get the additional stuff properly documented.
    
    The described DECUServices should all work.
