[comp.org.decus] A few questions about DECUS CD-ROMs

VERKADE@CTSS.CO.UK (Herman Verkade) (06/16/91)

1) Does anybody know whether DECUS CD-ROMs #1 to #5 are still available? They
don't appear in the catalog anymore, although #4 and #5 are in the on-line
catalog on later disks. If they are, what are the order numbers for #1 to #3?

2) Are there any plans to release VAX Library Collections on CD-ROM?

3) When is DECUS Collection #9 (Spring 91 Tapes) going to be available?

Those CD-ROMs are no longer available. If there is enough demand for them,
the Library could see about remastering the CDs, however, most of the material
is very old and doesn't draw a lot of interest.

At this time, it is under consideration, but no definite plans

The Spring 91 Tapes have not been released yet (maybe by the end of the
month). Once the tapes have been released, the work on the CD will be
started. The CD will be ready for Anaheim in December. It should be done at
least a month before that. Other than this information, there is nothing more
that I can pass on to you.
