This newsgroup is being renamed from net.micro.mac to comp.sys.mac. This renaming will gradually take place over the next few weeks. More and more messages posted to this newsgroup will be aliased into the new newsgroup as they pass through the net, and people will begin to post to the new group. After a few weeks, the old name will be removed. This note is to inform you of the renaming so you can begin to read the new group as well as the old group. Mark Horton Director, the UUCP Project

does anyone know where mod.mac is going? I assume this notification means that net.micro.mac is being replaced by the unmoderated comp.sys.mac Incidentally, I think the new groupings are great, since we intend to ignore just about everything but comp! -- Joel West MCI Mail: 282-8879 Western Software Technology, POB 2733, Vista, CA 92083 {cbosgd, ihnp4, pyramid, sdcsvax, ucla-cs} !gould9!joel joel%gould9.uucp@NOSC.ARPA

Unfortunately there are going to be no more un-moderated mac groups. mod.mac.sources and net.sources.mac are both being replaced by COMP.SOURCES.MAC which is also a moderated group.
