Not to mention the fact that for a long time our news software was hosed
and we were not able to post.  This was entirely my responsibility (as
system administrator).  The situation was that News was not a priority. 
There were other problems with the machine that needed fixing first.

Any general shortage of postings from apple are probably due to me.  (Though
the folks here *are* busy on the next round of product enhancements!! And
we have been asked by management to curb the leaks ...)  

It is quite likely that many of the user community just got out of the
habit of posting, since for several MONTHS it was an exercise in futility.
This was fixed a couple of months ago, but habits take a while to change...
