I have an old (it should be a classic!) skinny mac. After a year or so of little use, I'm becomming computationally active again and badly need to upgrade my mac's memory. I have the 256K RAM chips and holders on hand, but can't find the blow-by- blow instructions I thought I had kept from two years ago on how to do the job myself. After coming up to 512K, I next plan to buy the new ROM/800K drive upgrade from a dealer, then consider a 3rd party SCSI upgrade for a hard disk and further memory as required. Can someone help me out with 128 -> 512 instructions? Please send mail directly to me or reply to the net if I've not given enough information on my address (I'm new to posting). If you have any suggestions on the best (read "most reliable for least money") upgrade path to eventually reach 1 Meg with an up-to-date system, please send them to me. If anyone wants a summary of responses, let me know. thx, Mickey Reynolds akguc!mrr USMail: 3958 Landress Way Lawrenceville, GA 30245
