[comp.sys.mac] Problems with Chooser

joel@gould9.UUCP (Joel West) (11/27/86)

Has anyone ever seen a spurious "There is nothing to choose
on the startup disk" message from Chooser? It normally means
I have to go back to the finder, where choosing always works.

I have everything in a single, 3rd-level blessed folder
on my HFS hard disk. There doesn't seem to be any pattern
as to when it works or doesn't.

Chooser has problems finding the boot drive if run from
an application that modifies the BootDrive global in low
memory. Typical example: Aztec shell.
