[comp.sys.mac] bug in mpw shell

wetter@tybalt.caltech.edu (Pierce T. Wetter) (12/08/86)

Don't know if anyone has found this yet. (probably have but its something
I want fixed so it behooves [great word behooves] me to post it) On a Mac+
with jasmine hard disc, 74 fonts, 14 da's approx 14 megs used on hard disc,
I downloaded Macman parts 1-5 from info-mac, then went into the MPW shell to
cut and paste them together (v 1.0b1), selected part2, copy, paste, crash.
Try again, open part1, open part2, copy, paste crash. (even the posted replace
ment to the sysalerts couldn't return me to the finder, arghhh, resume didn't
work either. Sigh.)
However, the catenate tool worked fine i just had to edit out the headers. Oh
well.

Maybe someone at apple could fix said bug if not fixed in 1.0b2. Would
also by nice if they could send me info on how to send mail to them as tybalt
seems never to have heard of apple.uucp. Then I could send them more bug reports
Would also be nice if they have any MacApp mailing list if I could be put on
said list.

   Anybody there? Hello?...

There was a young man of St. John's
Who wanted to bugger the swans.
	But the loyal hall porter
	Said, "Pray take my daughter!
Those birds are reserved for the dons."

I am the creator of MacMan, I think you got the wrong version. A friend of mine
uploaded an old copy of it to info-mac, unfortunatly I don' have access to
info-mac and I would appreciate if you post this note to it.

To get the latest copy of macman and to be registored for updates, just send
me a self addressed stamped envelop and a disk, and I will send it to you.

The latest copy does not need the cut and paste process you were stuck with.
and it setup itself automaticly.
