I am a very novice MAC+ programmer working in C. My first project is YATE (Yet Another Terminal Emulator) which will use a Vadic 9600 bps modem. I would appreciate advice on ways to quickly draw characters on the Mac's screen and perform other functions such as clear screen, scroll and delete line. In particular, I would like to receive comments such as "the normal way to draw characters is to use the Quickdraw routines xxx and yyy; however, it would be faster to instead use zzz but this requires you to do the following".
