[comp.sys.mac] Invisible folders - use ResEdit

oster@lapis.berkeley.edu (David Phillip Oster) (12/25/86)

Apple's marvelous program ResEdit has a whole set of functions many people
don't know about. Select a file, and instead of opening it, choose Get
Info from the file menu. You can rename it, change its type, its dates,
and its bits (such as locked and visibility.)
To delete a file, select it and instead of opening it, select Clear from
the Edit menu.
These techniques should allow you to make invisible folders visible and to
delete them.

Be careful: One invisible file, at least, (DeskTop) is necessary for the
operation of the system.
