The most useful feature I have found with the Macintosh is the clipboard.
If one program does not do exactly what I want, usually two of them will.
(For example, Microsoft Chart and MacDraw) This is what I use Switcher
for, a fast way to run two programs at once and pass information between
them.
Does the Amiga have a clipboard equivalent, like the Macintosh, that is
(in theory) supported by all programs?

probably an ignorant question and I doubt that the Mac newsgroup wants to
see 600 replies to this and I doubt the Amiga newsgroup wants to see 600
answers to a question they already know.
