A friend of mine has been dealing with Jasmine for a couple of months now. First he ordered their disk with a scsi adapter for his 512kE, it no work. He returned the goods and received his refund. Now he has upgraded to a MAC Plus...he ordered another hard disk from Jasmine...it no work either. He sent it back and is waiting for another in replacement. Anybody out there have a Jasmine that works? Anybody have similar problems? No. The only "problem" I have encountered with mine is that it took them almost 2 weeks to get it to me. Other than that (knock wood), it has worked fine for 3 months of daily usage. Seems very nicely built, with lots of useful features: decimal SCSI select switch on the back, two surge-protected AC plugs, included SCSI cable, 2 SCSI cable connectors for daisy chaining, 12Mb of public domain stuff, not irritatingly noisy fan, and it fits under my Mac. >Mark Goldstein >Codex Corporation, Motorola Information Systems Group, Canton, MA >path: ...{mit-eddie,harvax,inmet,adelie,mot}!cdx39!gold --Darryl Richman, INTERACTIVE Systems Corp. ...!cca!ima\ >-!ism780c!darryl ...!sdcrdcf/ The views expressed above are my opinions only. I'm just a satisfied customer.

In my last item I wrote > I've had a 20 Meg Jasmine drive for a couple of weeks now and so far am > satisfied. For the full story, including a couple of quibbles, read on. Unfortunately the message was truncated. I was about to end off by saying that I had yet to run Jasmine's diagnostic formatter, because they had not shipped me the copy of Flashback that I ordered along with the drive. When I contacted them about it (pointing out that I was reluctant to do much with the drive until I had a backup) they agreed that they had screwed up and promised to ship Flashback to me right away, to arrive in a day or so. Here it is a week later and I still don't have it. Presumably they decided to save themselves a couple of dollars by sending it via snail-mail. This falls short of eagerness-to-please in my books, but doesn't prevent me from continuing to consider this Jasmine drive a good-quality product and a great value. The usual disclaimer: Jasmine has so far managed to leave me a satisfied customer, somewhat in spite of themselves. I have no other relationship with the company.
