To the best of my knowledge, the posted TeX Previewer will only work on
TeX78 format DVI files, and will not work with the much more common
and newer TeX82 format that most TeX installations use.  This is the
format produced by TeX 1.0 or later (and many earlier versions) and I
think it is the format produced by all WEB versions of TeX.  (I think
TeX78 was written in SAIL, but I may be wrong.)
