In the last few months I have seen several net postings asking for help with various Mac games. Many of these postings are fine, but a couple of them have included a lot of background information about the game (i.e. "I have the X, I've done the Y, I've taken care of Z, but I cannot get past W). A description like this gives away a lot of the game; it tells what's coming up, and implies a successful sequence for handling the game's puzzles. Please do not include such game descriptions in your postings! I recently bought a couple of Mac games. Naturally, any news postings carrying either game's title would have attracted me, and I'd have given it a look. I would be very upset to suddenly read all kinds of information about the game, ruining some of the fun of exploring and learning in the game world. These games cost significant money for many of us, and beyond that the pleasure of figuring out puzzles and encountering new places is immediately and forever ruined. If you must ask game questions, please label such a posting as a spoiler in the message heading. Thank you. -- -Andrew Andrew Glassner glassner@unc decvax!mcnc!unc!glassner
