Hi there, I'm looking for ShareWare that could allow me to a specific sector from a disk without regard for errors (brute force). I have a disk that is trashed that I keep getting 'Unable to find valid data mark' errors however, this sector happens to reside right in the middle of a file that I have to get to. If anyone has any ideas or can email me some software to help it would be appreciated. (I have read about PatchDisk. Is it any good?). Also, if anyone has a list of good inexpensive software (free or shareware) I would like a copy of the list so I could chase down some of the software on it if I like it. I'm new to the Mac (6 months... is that new??) and don't have alot of stuff yet. Thanks in advance... Ronald J. Domes Develcon Electronics Ltd.
