Yes, I'm in favor of creating a separate newsgroup, especially if it is NOT moderated. I hate moderated newsgroups.

Since my original posting a couple of days ago which proposed the creation of a new group for the Macintosh II's version of UNIX (A/UX) 1) Isn't it a little premature to be creating a newsgroup for an OS that "doesn't exist yet?" Perhaps. Part of my motivation is that perhaps we can influence what goes into it. After all, Apple certainly reads the net, and probably would pay some attention to meaningful suggestions we came up with. 2) Why do we need several groups? I'm only suggesting one additional group. I just didn't know what to call it. Stuff pertaining to the existing Mac and it's emulation on the Mac II ought to continue going where they already are. Stuff pertaining to A/UX ought to go somewhere else as it's a significantly different problem. BTW, for what's its worth, the opinion seems to be about 66% for creation and 33% against. I will go ahead and keep the polls open until 22 March at which time I will post the results, and assuming a favorable response, proceed with group creation. Oh yeah, perhaps predictably, nobody has prefered a moderated group. David -- David W. Berry dwb@well.uucp dwb@Delphi dwb@GEnie 293-0752@408.MaBell
