[comp.sys.mac] Internal "scuzzies"

ericson@uiucdcsp.UUCP (03/10/87)

With the the new Mac SE, and the incoming Mac II Apple
has provided an INTERNAL, "true" (all 50 pins) SCSI
port. This begs the question - Where can one get a
standard SCSI drive, so that they don't have to pay
200% or higher markup to Apple to have it installed.

I would expect that seagate, rodime and other big
disk manufacturers have SCSI half-height (or 3.5 in
for the SE) drives that could be bought at great
prices. Anyone with info on this? Do any of the
"pc" disks conform to SCSI?

Thanks in advance,

Stuart Ericson
