Does anyone know anything about MacWorks 3.1? I just learned today that Apple or an organization called "NetWorkers" has released a modified 3.0 that includes HFS. I'd be interested in the official upgrade paths. The price is supposed to be $125 for a *new* version, but considering how Apple was handing away free upgrades to 3.0 MacWorks with its Software Supp- lement a couple of years ago, I can't take that very seriously. I'm also interested in upgrading my Lisa 2/5 to a 2/10. Does anyone out there know how I can get my hands on an inexpensive upgrade? I wouldn't want to spend more than $400 for a new hard disk. Needless to say, my attempts at getting answers from local dealers has been fruitless. Three major chains in this state (including ComputerCraft) don't seem to have much interest in supporting obsolete systems ("Before my time" was a common excuse). Ostensibly, Apple is supporting Lisa until the end of the decade, but is *not* telling its customers or its dealers how. -- Robert Dorsett ARPA: mentat@ngp.utexas.edu The University of Texas at Austin UUCP: {ihnp4,seismo,sally}!ngp!mentat UTAustin: mentat@walt.cc.utexas.edu
