#N:uiucdcs:19300051:000:1067 uiucdcs!bcase Jul 17 15:39:00 1984 I am looking for a MULTIBUS single board computer. I would like for it to have some processor (almost any will do actually), some PROM monitor or something to boot from, a large amount of memory (256K bytes), either or both of a floppy/hard disk controller interface, and of course a serial line or two for a terminal. The "large amount of memory" sort of recommends a 68000 processor, but I only want to use the board as I/O and control for a processor that I am building on multibus cards. Does such a beast exist? If so, who makes it/them? If no such beast exists, then what are reasonable alternatives? Cost is a big factor here, but I will consider almost anything that solves my problems. Also, has anyone heard of multibus memory boards capable of 32-bit parallel data transfers (perhaps using the p2 bus)? I am building a 32-bit RISC machine (not like the one from Berkeley, mine is much simpler) and true 32-bit transfers would of course make things better. Thanks in advance.
