I'm terribly interested to see how Macintalk (the speech driver) responds to an SE. According to some APDA literature, it doesn't work on an SE. Could some kind soul with access to an SE try Macintalk and let me know what happens? (system error, or garbled speech, etc.) If you own a copy of speechlab, could you see if the Reader mechanism still works (i.e. does it still translate speech into phonemes)? Thanks in advance to all responders. Owen Hartnett Brown University Computer Science omh@cs.brown.edu.CSNET omh%cs.brown.edu@relay.cs.net-relay.ARPA {ihnp4,allegra}!brunix!omh

I've had no problems hearing or understanding the speech of the Macintalk software. I'm running on a dual-floppy SE. Jim Collymore
