I know I can capture postscript bound for the laserwriter by using CMND-F, and I can then send it from my mac to one of our local machines which has an attached LaserWriter, but what a lot of hassle. As all I have is floppies I enivitably run out of disk space, adn then I have to do it again etc etc. So what I think I want is a package that replaces the low level Appletalk driver with an RS-232 driver. I could then write something at the other end that sends all the appropriate replies, and I have a good 19k2 line in my office anyway. So my question is, does such a driver exist, and if so how do I get it. I have found on the SUMEX archives a DA called "Async Appletalk" that seemed to get me what I want, but didn't as it wanted to attach some system which I know anything about, and the documentation gives no real hints to what it doing. Thanks in advance for any help, Simon Brock. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simon H Brock Dept of Computing, UUCP : ...siesmo!mcvax!ukc!icdoc!shb Imperial College, JANET: shb@DoC.ic.ac.uk London SW7 2BZ 01-581-5111 x4993

Async Appletalk was written by Rich Brown at Dartmouth College. You should be able to reach him by sending mail to Richard.Brown@d1.dartmouth.edu. Failing that, Snail Mail to: Richard Brown, Kiewit Computation Center, Dartmouth College, Hanover NH, 03755 will get to him. -David Kovar
