I'm willing to believe that Apple will not "allow" the use of color cartridges simply because they don't sell 'em, and they want you to buy Apple cartridges (which just happen to be more expensive than Canon cartridges, which are identical). I too have seen people use color cartridges in LaserJets and Canon PC copiers (the same copier engine as the LaserWriter) with no problems... --Rich

You want a real kick, last November HP raised the price of the Canon toner cartridge for the Laserjet, which is the same cartridge as the Laserwriter uses. So if you go into the computer store for a new cartridge, and buy an HP cartridge, it'll cost you about $10 more for the exact same item than if you bought the cartridge from Apple. And the place where I bought my last cartridge had the nerve to say "I don't understand why Apple didn't raise their price, too..." chuq Chuq Von Rospach chuq@sun.COM [I don't read flames] There is no statute of limitations on stupidity
