Does any of the drawing programs support arcs with arrow heads? (application: to draw an automaton or an ATN network). Would be much nicer than using "ideal"... Also, System 4.x supports style changes in TextEdit records. Does that mean we can expect drawing programs to support sub and superscripts in text automatically? Sender:Russell Schwausch Cricket Draw 1.0 will draw arcs with arrowheads on one end or both. It will also draw bezier curves with arrowheads on one end or both!!! And you can specify the width of the line in something like one point increments. And the arrow(s) will grow or shrink in size proportionately. This program also lets you specify the gray level to use in 1% increments for lines and/or fills. It also does grates and starbursts (graduated gray fills)! The program has a few bugs, some quite annoying. For instance, things don't always line up on the printed output just like they do on the screen. This programs also really exercises the features of the LaserWriter because it generates postscript directly. If the printer is at all confused, and you try something fancy, you will get a printer error message. Every time I had this happen I just had to reset the printer and then reprint the file. Complex drawings can take a long time to print on a LaserWriter. I have not tried a LaserWriter Plus yet. This is turning into a review which I am not ready to do yet but this is a neat program that is lots of fun to play with. Russell Schwausch, Motorola Inc., OakHill, Tx. To make a curved arrow thingee, just group a very short arrow-headed line and the curve of your choice. No it's not perfect, but hey................bc
