I have two questions about the Inside Macintosh (promotional edition). 1) At the end of the Desk Manager chapter, it is said that A Sample Desk Accessory *** to be supplied; .... 2) Also at the end of the OS Event Manager chapter, it is said DEFINING A NONSTANDARD KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION *** This information is forthcoming *** Does anybody know what happened thereafter? I would like to clarify my base note. Probably my title is misleading. What I asked was: the sample codes about 1) a desk accessory, and 2) defining a nonstandard keyboard configuration PROMISED IN THE PROMOTIONAL EDITION (the context seems to imply that the codes will be included in the final versions) DID NOT SHOW UP IN THE FINAL VERSIONS PUBLISHED BY ADDISON-WESLEY AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF the promised codes have been published anywhere (like in technical notes or software supplements or whatever). I hope it will clarify my question. Thanks. Kyongsok KIM

That same mechanism is retrofitted onto the Plus under System 4.1, and is minimally documented in the draft IM Volume V, available from APDA. -- Joel West {ucbvax,ihnp4}!sdcsvax!jww (ihnp4!gould9!joel if I ever fix news) jww@sdcsvax.ucsd.edu if you must
