Just to keep folks up to date. I upgraded to the new Laserwriter and LaserPrep tonight (both 4.0, both available on Delphi) and tried postscript blocks on Ready Set Go! 3.0. They work, which implies that whatever is broken was broken in LaserPrep 3.3. The upshot: either downgrade to LaserPrep 3.2 or grab a copy of 4.0, but you probably don't want to use 3.3. Oh, 4.0 looks noticably faster. so far, so good! chuq Chuq Von Rospach chuq@sun.COM [I don't read flames] There is no statute of limitations on stupidity

I have been puzzled by Chuq's report of the mismatch between RSG & LaserPRep 3.3. I don't for a moment doubt that everything he has reported is accurate, but there must be at least one more variable involved in the mismatch. One of my graduate students has been using the November release of RSG3.0 on my system (I let him use my LaserWriter so I don't have to read Imagewriter output), and my LaserPrep identifies itself as v 3.3. We did every example in the cookbook over the Xmas break, and got all the expected output. So, as I said, at least one other thing must be involved, and it looks to me like it must be hardware related, since we seem to be running the same software. Confused in Kendall Square
