In a continuing effort to destroy things using resedit...
If you are using the new finder with the bulging trash can, and you
don't like it, you can get rid of it, or change it to something that
you like using resedit.
Open up the finder using resedit and open the ICN# resource. (It may
also be in the ICON resource, but I doubt it.) In the ICN# s you
should find the trash can icons. To get rid of the bulging can, copy
the normal can to the clipboard and paste it back over the bulging
can. Close the windows to save the finder.
To get rid of the spinning hands, you do the same thing, but in the
CURS resources. Have fun, make the hands spin backwards.
If you make any changes, be sure to document the fact that you are
running a non-standard finder in its get info box.
I am not using the new system, so I can't describe the fine details,
since I have not done this on the new finder.
